Gransden Muddy Fun Run25Jan2026

The event returns on Sunday 25th January with KS1, KS2 and new for this year, villagers', fun runs. Run, jog or walk the muddy 3km route and receive a medal for your efforts. There will be plenty of prizes to be won with awards for the top three boys and girls in each run, best fancy dress outfit, muddiest runners as well as some special spot prizes for adults too! Entries are now open at the link below. The PTA will be on hand with hot drinks, cakes, a barbecue and other refreshments and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire's Andy Lake will be commentating all morning on events. Once again, we'll have the fabulous Claire Newbold getting us warmed up before each run. Sponsorship forms will be sent home with children next week; the class who raise the most sponsorship will win a special prize. (Please note-children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult can oversee several children but children cannot participate without a designated adult out on the route.) Mystery Marathon and Half Marathon/10km For those looking for more of a challenge, we are also hosting the 'Mystery Marathon' where runners complete a half marathon, 10km, 5km and 3.8 mile loop (adding up to 26.2 miles) using a map and set of written instructions. Run as an individual or as a relay team of 2, 3, or 4. Just fancy the 10km or half marathon loop? That's fine too!
