Our School

Welcome from Our Headteacher

Dear Parents, Friends and Visitors,

Thank you very much for visiting our website. We hope you will find it interesting and that you get a good idea of what a great school and community we have.

We are very proud of our outstanding school.

The Christian faith is central to our school values and we have very close links with St.Bartholomew's Church in the village. Barnabas Oley Church of England School is a small school with a big history! It is located in the centre of the village of Great Gransden in Cambridgeshire and was founded in 1670 by the Reverend Barnabas Oley. Our current building is made up of a Victorian building (est 1879) and a larger, more modern group of classrooms and a beautiful school hall. We also have a brand new outdoor swimming pool that we enjoy during the summer months.

Our catchment area includes the villages of Great Gransden, Little Gransden and Waresley. From September 2012, we welcomed Abbotsley village into our catchment too.

Everyone is most welcome to visit the school. Please make an appointment through the school’s office – we look forward to meeting you.

Kind regards,

Mrs Michelle Downes
